    "Why have you to give away the half of that fine pig", questioned the butcher.
    "Yes indeed I have because my neighbour gave me the half of his pig last year", answered the butcher.
    "I will put you on a plan," said the butcher.
    "You pretend that you are leaving this pig here all night,."
    "As soon as you think your neighbour is sound asleep take in the pig and hide it."
    "When morning comes raise the hue and cry that the pig was stolen," "But be sure and stick to your story."
    The miserable man agreed to do this. During the night the butcher slipped up to the miserable mans house and stole the pig himself. When the butcher awoke in the morning he beheld the miserable man standing at the door flustered and excited.
    "The pig is stolen," cried the miserable man.
