  1. Prayers.
    1. As I lie down on my right side
I pray to God to be my guide.
God of the branch and lady of the flower
God be with me in my last hour.
    2. I have 4 corners on my bed
    I have 4 angels overspread,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
God bless the bed that I lie on.
    3. As I lie down this night to sleep
To God I give my soul to keep.
    Waken now, waken never
To God I give my soul forever.
    4. On my right side as I lie here
As Jesus did on Mary's knee.
If any harm comes on me
The Lord of Heaven waken me,
That I may have my eyes to see
And my right hand to bless me
