    II
I've sailed at the dusk and the dawning
I've sailed with the ebb and the flow
I've sailed out at midday and midnight
In winds that blew high and blew low
But the days of my sailing are over
My future is meant for the shore
My tackle I've passed to the youthful
'Cause I'm not going to fish anymore
    III
The sea hath no used for the feeble
You conquer or fall 'neath its might
It suffers the strong and the active
But the weary must fall in the fight
It rolls on in splendour majestic
It holds its all conquering sway
With a vigour so forceful and constant
Its rule in the conqueror's way.
