    Come listen a while,
    Your sons and fair daughters are now going away.
    And thousands are sailing to America.

    The night before leaving,
    They bid good-bye.
    And early next morning.
    Their heart's gave a sigh.
    They kiss their dear parents.
    These words they did say,
    Good-bye darling parents
    We're now going away

    The friends they all gather and the neighbours also.
    Their trunks are all packed up just ready to go
    The tear's from their eyes.
    They pour down like the rain,
    And the horses are trotting going off for the train
