    Subscriptions for to raise
    They travelled through the different
    parts
    And crossed the raging sea
    And Rev Fr. Doherty went to America
    The congregation acted well
    They are worthy of great praise
    They scribed their money cheerfully
    And god will send them more
    For the splendid church
    They have got built
    In the parish of Donaghmore
    When the bell does ring
    It sounds so loud
    That everyone can hear
    Inviting them both old and young
    In the church to appear
    And when it rings the second time
    The people should be there
    For to assist at mass
    And solemn holy prayer
    This church is named for Patrick
    Our patron saint of old
    Where many a day in Donaghmore
