  1. Casán na mBráthair is a path which led from the townland of Ballykerrogan in Glenfin, I [?] over the Barnes mountains in the direction of Donegal town. It is believed that the Monks of Donegal Abbey used it and it is from then it got its name.

    Loc […] is in the Barnes mountains also it is believed that there are jewels at the bottom of that lake.

    Hence its name Belshade from mod [?] --a jewel.
