    15 - 6 - 1938
    Long ago poteen was frequently made in Ireland especially in this part of the country.
    One evening two men were making poteen. When they were finished they hid the poteen and all the articles in the bushes and were about to go home when stones were thrown at them. The men went back to the place where they hid the poteen but it was still there. They started for home a second time but stones were again thrown at them. One of the men said to the other. "It's a sign we are getting"! So the two men went back, lifted their poteen and all the other articles and buried them beside a
