  1. During the long winter nights, the old people meet in some particular house and discuss the feats which the strong and great men did long ago. I heard of a man who could lift twenty stone on his head and walk a quarter of a mile carrying the load still on his head. Many a time he was challenged but there was no man able to beat him. This man was Tom McGovern (?) who lived in Fassagh Co Fermanagh. He lived to the age of 103 years.
