  1. Long ago before there were any taps the people had to get their water in the many wells in Dalkey. One night a woman went to the well on Barnhill Rd. to get water for the morning. The night was very dark and the woman began to get nervous. Suddenly she heard the noise of horses and a coach. The coach came alongside and to the woman's horror the horses had no heads. The woman ran home. She had to stay in bed for a week.
