- Here is the story of how the rock beside Coliemore Harbour came there. St Patrick was sitting on a rock on Dalkey Hill preaching to some people. The devil appeared to St Patrick and asked him to turn against God. St Patrick refused. He picked up a big rock and hurled it at the devil. It hit the devil and killed him. The rock did not stop until it reached the harbour. That is how the rock came to be there.
