    and some trees growing round by the wall. At the entrance to the cemetery there is a house. In this house there are a lot of coffins laid on the other. All through the graves there are weeds and briars growing. This graveyard is badly kept.

  2. In the parish of Knockanore there lived a man named Thomas O Mahony who was a laborer and used to go round cutting corn with a scythe. Each day he mowed about three acres. He is dead about fifty years and was the best mower of his time.
    On the patron day at Knockanore faction fights were held in Mr Kiely's field. A man named Edmond Griffin who is now dead was the best fighter. He lived alone in a cottage in Killeneagh and was about sixty-five years when he died. In Camphire there lived in a thatched house a man named William Mills who could bring a twenty stone
