  1. Castlegore was erected 150 years ago by Lord Tyrawley. It was a great building. It was four storey high and each storey contained six apartments. Lord Tyrawley lived there about 150 years ago. At the time of the emancipation for Ireland Daniel O'Connell insulted Lord Tyrawley, and he took the insult so much and he said he would never enter public life again.
