    was settled by peaceful negotiation. It resulted in "Ballyglass" and "Ballyrourke" getting half of the bog and "Muckrossaune" and the "Neale" getting the other half. Portions of the walls built for the purpose of dividing it are still to be seen. As one old man remarked the "ould" bog wasn't worth half the trouble it caused.
