    It is unlucky to give milk away on May day.
    Nobody should throw dust out on New Year's day.
    Money should not be given away either on New year's day because it is unlucky.
    If you cross a (chills) child's feet he will never grow if they are recrossed again he will grow.
    If you see a wisp hanging from a hen's tail it is a sign you will soon hear of a funeral.
    If your left ear is hot some person is talking good of you.
    If your right ear is hot some person is talking bad of you.
    If a person should enter a cottage during the churning he should out his hand to the dash or the butter will not come.
    A horse-shoe nailed to the bottom of a churn prevents the butter from being bewitched.
