    for keeping Easter. A conference at York under Bishop Wilfrid failed to settle the dispute. Osway the King taking the part of Wilfrid, St Colman refused to submit and left for the west of Ireland with 40 monks of Lindsfar Landing in Boffin, he was joined by many Irish monks.
