  1. There are potatoes grown in my farm we have 1 1/2 acres of potatoes. We put stable manure in them when we turn up the clay. We make drills. There are no wooden ploughs now, we buy other sorts of steel ploughs in the shop. The people always help eachother. They dig the potatoes with a fork or a spade. They store the potatoes in pits. The Champions are the best potatoes. In olden times the people made use of the part inside the skin for starch.
