  1. There is a holy well in the village of Canna Curra in Clare Island. It is in the middle of a field and there is a stone path leading up to it. There is a stone wall built around it and there are bushes growing up by the wall.
    The people visit it on the fifteenth of August and they bring the holy water home in bottles. The "rounds" are performed and the people go round the well on their knees and they say the rosary while they are doing so.
