  1. This is a small village consisting of seven houses, all of which are thatched. The land is very rough and rocky, there are scarcely any trees, the bog is convienent.
    The village got its name from a swampy bog, in which calves were reared a long time ago.
    The sirnames in the village are Corcoran (2) Dunne (2) Farrell (1) Mulhern (1) Kearny (1).
