  1. About a half a mile from my house there is a large rock called St. Patrick's rock, it is said that as St. Patrick was going to the Reek, he passed by this place, and it is said he used to baptise people on this rock. The rock is about two feet high, and it is flat on the top. There are three depressions, which are supposed to be the track of St. Patrick's knees and the track of his prayer book. There is water always in these three depressions, and every person that passes by that rock blesses himself with the water, it is in honour of St. Patrick, and about a quarter of a mile
