   There is a field near our house called the high field. It was called that because it was higher than the ground around it. There is another field called the Lough field because there was a hollow in the middle of the field and when it rained the water stayed in it like a lake.

   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   There is a field called a pipe field. There was clay taken out of it to make claypipes and that was how it got its name. There is another field and it is called the fair green. There was fairs held there. That was how it got its name. One time there was a fair there and a man was killed and that was the end of the fairs. And ever since it is called the fairgreen. Where the man was killed no grass ever grew there.
