There is usually a churn in every house. There is a churn in my house. In is about one and a half feet in height and the same in width. It is square on two sides and round on the other two sides. It is about nine years old. There is a small dash in the churn which is used to churn the cream and the handle is attached to this dash through a hole in the side of the churn. In some cases the butter is churned twice a week and in other cases once this depends on how many cows When strangers enter the house in which churning is going on they generally take part in some of the work for it is considered unlucky no to do so. Some times it takes a half an hour to do the churning.
