- Years ago no one was allowed into Waterstone domain as you would be prosecuted if you were caught in side. As there is a beautiful lake inside people used to steal in to fish. My grandfather and a man named Tormey stole in to fish one evening and as they were coming home they thought they heard noise on the avenue and sat down to see what the noise was. There were weasels passing four deep. They sat still to see how many would pass. They saw thousands and thousands passing. So at last they got tired waiting as the first that passed could be four miles gone.
Tormey drew the fishing rod to hit them as they passed but not one ever he hit. They very spot the rod hit the around they divided. What was coming turned back and what has passed by kept going a head.
Some people say it was a meeting and more say it was a funeral
