  1. Pig's blood, caught while pig was bleeding, before dying. Puddings of pig, cleaned inside and outside, blood heated and thickened with raw oatmeal. Puddings filled with this mixture and boiled in large pot of boiling water. When oatmeal cooked, puddings were taken from pot, formed into shape of circle, and tied together and hung form rafters in kitchen, ready for use when required.
