  1. My fathers sows potatoes each year, in March.
    When sowing the potatoes, he first ploughs the ground and harrows it. He then makes the drills and, before the day of planting the potatoes, he puts manure in each drill. He then cuts the potatoes in slices, making sure that there is "an eye" left in each slice to be sown; otherwise the new potato would not grow. He next makes holes on the top of each drill, puts one slice in each hole. He then does what
