    The following signs guide us in regard to weather conditions.
    1. When birds fly high in the sky good weather may be expected.
    2. Should the cat sit with her back to the fire, rain is sure to come.
    3. When the dog, instead of eating his meal of potatoes and cabbage, takes grass instead, wet weather is near at hand.
