- Three meals were eaten long ago by the old people. Potatoes were eaten three times a day in the morning and at dinner time and also in the evening. In former times people worked before having meals in the morning. The meals consisted of potatoes, skim-milk and butter.They sat around the table which was placed in the middle of the floor. The table was left hung up against the wall when not in use. Meal bread that was eaten long ago. Meat was eaten only on Sunday. Salt meat was used on Sundays for eating. Sometimes fish was eaten for the dinner. Vegetables were not in use in former times but now they have come into use again.
