- Castle-Mehigan is a townland situated to the North-East of Crookhaven. It got its name from a castle that was built there in former years by a man named Mehigan who was a French man and was an officer of Lord O' Mahony who then ruled from Mizen Head to Drimoleague. The castle was built as a defence When any invasion came to fight them, they would hide under the ground as there were tunnels under the ground running from the castle to the hill.
- KilleanKillean is a townland situated about one mile from Crookhaven. It got its name from a little graveyard which was there(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
