On every St John's Eve flocks of people used go there where they used to spend the whole night in prayer and rounds About a hundred yards above the well there is a round green spot and stones all round it and on one of the flat stone there is a cross. The people used go from stone to stone praying. It was customary to spend the night there playing music, dancing, and singing. On leaving it was usual to leave some corn or other article there. This place is called the "gollan's" It is also believed people were cured by praying there.
