  1. The people in days long gone by were very different than nowadays. The priests used to say Mass behind a bush and behind the rock they had a bush and they used to put a cloth on the rock & he used to put his chalices & books on the rock & it was then called a Mass Rock or Mass bush.
    Sometimes the priest used only be half ways through Mass when soldiers used to come & follow them, & when the priest & people would be gone the soldiers would take all they could carry away from the rock.
