  1. I live in Gowran where there is a lot of place names. There names of fields & rivers or hills are called after people who lived there long ago or some other reason.
    There is a place in Gowran just a little bit from our house called Gleann na rocka ot the Gleann of the Rocks. There is a lot of rocks & hollows in that Glenn & it is so called the Glenn of the rocks.
    There is also a place in Gowran named the (Nursing) Nursery which is just at the back of our houses & it is a nice square field. There was a man named Captain Lenehan who planted a lot of
