- 42. Killymarley school was built by the landlord for the convenience of the tentant's children. 200 years since erected. Raised and roofed int he new about 100 years ago. There was a two-roomed teacher's resident opposite the school on the other side of the road. Teacher had two gardens and was paid a small salary each year by the landlord. Only a few children attended. Master Sullivan and his wife and later a Mrs. Jackson taught in the school.
When Brooks died there was no one to pay the teacher.
