  1. There were two landlords in this district long ago. Edward Doherty of Glenhouse and John Loughery of Binnion.
    They lifted the rent every year. They always wanted money for the rent. The tenants had to do a day's work free of charge for the landlord in addition to paying the rent. These days were called "duty days".
