    The Food.
    The food that was used was mostly potatoes, butter, milk and eggs. It is very few that would have a cup of tea and a slice of bread that time. Even the very richest would have the potatoes.

In the time of the famine when all the people of the place were dying of the hunger they were dying so fast that they had no time for burrying them so they used only gather cart loads of them in pits here and there. The one they had in this place was in McInerney's field near the grave yard. It was called the black pit and a flag may be seen there until the present
