There was a fort in Minock's field. There used to be trees growing around it. There is a fort in Cahill's field in Clonshanny but it is gone now. There was a fort in Daly's field near our turn but it is torn up because they wanted it the land. *Heatons tore it up. They sold it to the Dalys long a ago. There was a fort in Glavin's field in Ballycumber and it is there still and they use it to put sheep in it for the night. There is a fort in the Hills but it is not left now. There was a fort in Lowes' field but it is gone now. There was a fort in my Uncle George's field outside Killbeaga but I do not know whethere it is there still or not.
*for another reference to Heaton's se p.91.
