A White Cow used to be seen in a tree in a lane near Donohoe's of Kilcoilshy. Anyone who saw it would meet with some bad luck immediately afterwards.
It was always seen at night and appeared anytime during the years.
Horses often refused to pass the place at night and the driver had to dismount and lead them past the lane.
