There is an old graveyard in Kilcasey in the land occupied by Mr. George Murphy. The field has encroached altogether on it. A "raithin" at the side of the field is left untouched. Miss Mary Hendrick of Clologue heard from her father that his father told the owner - a Protestant - not to get that portion ploughed. He gave word to ploughman not to go near that part. The men did not heed the order and he contined till he turned up some bones. On his way home he broke his leg and was unable to work for months.
