138 The seventh son in a family was supposed to be able to cure all forms of disease. He was often looked on as a doctor. Flour and flanned were used to take down any swelling especially Erysipelas and if it was mentioned at all as a cure it would have to be used whether the swelling was dangerous. It should be heated as hot as possible and applied. Told by Mrs Mary Leacy. (Now dead)
