  1. One night old Ned Reilly was in Athlone and after going round all day had not enough money to pay his lodgings.
    He went to all the houses he knew, but no one would let him in. He searched all the lanes but there was always a guard or some other person there.
    At last he came to ned Geoghegan's yard and it was full of coffins and coaches for he was a coachmaker. Ned not thinking of anything got into one of the coffins and had a fine night's sleep.
