  1. In former years and even at present the country people believed in the existence of fairies, or Good People as they are called. In North Westmeath about seventy years ago, a farmer built a splendid new house. He would not live in it until his son came home from College where he was studying to be a Doctor. The son arrived and was delighted with his new home.
