  2. In the year 1843 a great meeting was held at Tara for the Repeal of the Union. The Priest was celebrated Mass there was the Rev. Fr. Mac Evoy P.P. of Kells.
Mr. Richard Lynch (born 1820) father to Miss Maria Lynch of Farrell St. (now over 90) served the Mass.
A granduncle to Mr. Paddy MacDonald, Suffolk St. Kells played the triangle in the band on that day. We have the very triangle in the school. The owner lent it to the nun to show it to us.
