    1. When the furniture creaks it is the sign of rain.
    2. If the sun goes down in a crimson ball of fire it is the sign of good weather.
    3. If there is a fog at night in the summer it is the sign there will be very fine weather next day.
    4. If you have a cock crowing on a wet day it will be a very fine evening.
    5. If there are red streaks in the sky it is the sign a thunder storm.
    6. If Candlemas falls bright and clear we will have two winters within the year.
    7. If you see a great number of stars in the sky it is going to freeze and if you see only a few in the sky it is going to rain.
    8. When a frog turns from yellow to black it is the sign of rain and when he turns to yellow again it is the sign it is clearing up.
    9. When there are specks in the sky it is a sign of rain.
