  1. Mumming is a very old custom in this part of the country. Young men dress themselves in all sorts of funny clothes, and go aroung from house to house dancing, singing songs and playing music.
    Then the master or the mistress of the house gives the boys some money. When they have enough money got they all join together, they have a party of their own and a good nights fun.
