  1. A lot of herbs grow along the road-side and in the fields they are as follows :- the copper leaf, the carpenters leaf, chicken weed, sky daisy and the dandelion.
    The copper leaf is a very big green leaf and will cure a sting of a nettle in a few minutes.
    The carpenters leaf is a small leaf and is used for curing and healing a sore.
    The sky-daisy is a small flower and it is found growing on top of a ditch. It is a cure for pains but is always boiled before it is used.
    The dandelion is also a cure for pains and long ago when there were no doctors the dandelion was the chief cure of the old people.
    The sky-daisy in olden days was a cure for boils, this cure is still used.
