In Kilfinane town there was laid down a tournament so grand
Some hurling clubs competed, the best throughout the land
There were Ballyhea, Bruree and Gormanstown and Effin in full steam
But none of them could clash the ash with the Ballinvana team
    VII
Then here's to captain Connors and to all his merry band
The Ballinvana Stakers the best throughout the land
For when they get into the fight they fear no wound or scar
Whenever theyr competing for the honours of the war
