  1. When soot falls from a chimney of it self it is a sign of rain.
    When a bit of a rainbow, which is called the Maóra Gaoire is seen it is a sign of showery weather.
    A rainbow at night is the shepherd's delight
    A rainbow in the morning is the shepherd's warning.
    If the moon is cloudy it is a sign of bad weather or if there's a ring around it, it denotes the same.
    When a fog is seen coming down Moorstown Mountain it is a sign of rain. But if it should be going up it is a sign of a clear up.
