  1. There was a hedge school here in Feenagh long ago. It was situated near the local school at present, and it was carried on in a house.
    Master O Sullivan was the name of the teacher. He was a native of Feenagh parish. Every scholar used to carry his own money and pay for themselves. The master and his pupils were able to speak Irish, but it was never taught. The writing was done
