  1. One day a widow told Lord Barrymore that her son was always getting into trouble and she could not keep him quiet. Lord Barrymore said "Send him to me and I will not be long making him quiet".
The widow went home and sent her son to Lord Barrymore. Her son did not return that evening or next day, and she got anxious.
On the evening of the second day she went to Lord Barrymore's castle and asked for her son. Lord Barrymore led her to a dark room and told her to look in. She did so and saw her son hanging inside. The widow cursed the castle and the curse was that 'fire from hell would burn it.'
