    busy before a storm. When you hear the curlew, or when you see them in the fields you can be prepared for bad weather. When the wind is from a westerly direction you will have showers with bright periods and when it blows from a northern direction you will have fine weather. When the wind is from the North West, North, and East and while it remains from any one of those directions plenty of fine weather is at hand.
