    The cure for warts is to kill a snail and rub it on the wart nine times (daily) and hang it on a thorn.
    The cure for mumps is to lead a person with asses winkers into a pigsty and say "mumps mumps go to the pigs".
    Cure for chillblanes is to run about two and a half miles and you will never have them again.
    The cure for a boil is to boil a meadow beam and drink the water and the boils will leave you then.
    A cure for a sty is to get a boy to point nine gooseberry thorns at it nine times.
    A cure for whopping cough is to go to three married of the same name and get alma from them.
    A person who never saw his father has a cure for thrush in the mouth.
