  1. A very long time ago
    Mr Mc Cardle who lived in Emmyvale made soap. He made the soap with caustic soda and fat. He boiled the three liquids together and put them in to shapes. He then put them outside to harden. His brother went about selling the soap and they both made a lot of money.

  2. In olden times baskets were made in the following way:- First a hoop was procured in which to work the basket. A number of sally-rods were cut out of the hedge or garden. They were left for about three weeks to season. Then three large rods were chosen for the main stays of the basket. A number of shorter rods
